The author, who looked up to Shiba as a mentor since his days as a newspaper reporter, meticulously analyzes these works, drawing on his experiences as a journalist, researcher, and, in his youth, a cadet at the Naval Academy.

Born in Tokyo in 1926. Graduated from the Department of Education, Faculty of Letters, University of Tokyo. Joined the Sankei Shimbun in 1949; served as head of the General Knowledge Department, head of the Social Affairs Department, editorial writer, editor-in-chief at both the Osaka and Tokyo headquarters, and president of Fuji Shimbun; became a professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures at the University of Tsukuba in 1978. In 1990, he became a professor at Tokyo University of Information Sciences. He served as a visiting professor at the Tokyo Shimbun, acting chair of the Asahi Shimbun Editorial Advisory Board, a member of the NHK Board of Governors, and executive director of the Ryotaro Shiba Memorial Foundation, among other positions. He passed away in December 2003.

We will ship these products sequentially starting on the release date.

Orders excluding cash-on-delivery payments will be delivered to your mailbox.
For deliveries outside our standard delivery area, we will ship via Click Post (mailbox delivery) or another shipping method within approximately 7 days from the order date.

Deliveries to areas other than those listed above are not covered by our staff’s delivery service; therefore, please pay by credit card or debit card.
