Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1949. Graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University. After making his debut in 1982 with *Makai Toshi <Shinjuku>*, he has energetically written series such as *Vampire Hunter*, *Makai Toshi Blues*, *Yōma Senjin*, and *Makai Ishi Mephisto*. He is a member of the Japan Mystery Writers Association and is also well-known as a fan of science fiction and horror films.
