Shinya Oku
was born in 1962 in Osaka Prefecture. Graduated from Kitano High School in Osaka and the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tokyo. Graduated from the Graduate School of Management, University of Leicester, UK. Doctor of Medicine and Master of Business Administration (MBA). Specializes in medical futurology, radiology, nuclear medicine, and medical informatics. After working as an associate professor at the 22nd Century Medical Center of the University of Tokyo Hospital and as a professor at the University of Aizu, he moved into the business world, working for pharmaceutical companies, medical equipment manufacturers, and pharmaceutical affairs consulting companies. Currently, Director of the Institute for Education and Development of Innovation in Medicine and Drug Discovery, Tokyo University of Science.

【著者について】
奥 真也（おく・しんや）
1962年、大阪府生まれ。大阪府立北野高校、東京大学医学部卒業。英レスター大学経営大学院修了。医師、医学博士、経営学修士（MBA）。専門は医療未来学、放射線医学、核医学、医療情報学。東京大学医学部附属病院22世紀医療センター准教授、会津大学教授を経てビジネスの世界に身を転じ、製薬会社、医療機器メーカー、薬事コンサルティング会社などに勤務。現在、東京科学大学医療・創薬イノベーション教育開発機構特任教授。著書に『Die革命』（大和書房）、『未来の医療年表』（講談社現代新書）、『世界最先端の健康戦略』（KADOKAWA）、『未来の医療で働くあなたへ』（河出書房新社）、『医療貧国ニッポン』（PHP新書）、『人は死ねない』（晶文社）、共著書に『死に方のダンドリ』（ポプラ新書）などがある。
